{"id":110,"date":"2005-09-13T21:20:53","date_gmt":"2005-09-14T04:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/excellentadventure.ca\/?p=110"},"modified":"2019-09-02T19:53:30","modified_gmt":"2019-09-03T02:53:30","slug":"the-making-of-an-excellent-adventure-2005-part-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/my.excellentadventure.ca\/?p=110","title":{"rendered":"The Making of an Excellent Adventure 2005 &#8211; Part 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/my.excellentadventure.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/ea\/italian_strike.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I knew that all of this problem free trip planning was just too good to last.\n<pracut>\nThe first significant issue has arisen that has caused us to have some concerns about our travel plans.<\/p>\n<p>As we normally do when travelling to another country, we usually make a point of occasionally reading the news headlines to see if anything of interest pops up.<\/p>\n<p>It has.<\/p>\n<p>One day before we are scheduled to arrive in Rome (which will be our first day in Italy), we have read that the Italian air traffic controllers are set to go out on strike. <\/p>\n<p>Realistically we won&#8217;t know for sure how we are affected until we arrive in London Heathrow airport and go to get our connecting flight to Rome. <\/p>\n<p>Best case scenario, we will be only be slightly delayed and may have to take a later flight to Rome.<\/p>\n<p>Worst case scenario &#8211; well, we&#8217;re really not sure what worst case scenario is at this point.
