Weather has been warm every day in the 30\u2019s and of course very humid. Some days it\u2019s really rained hard in the area around our condo but just 30 minutes drive away was sunshine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/my.excellentadventure.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160515_062208-1.jpg\" alt=\"20160515_062208.jpg\" \/><br style=\"font-size: 14px;\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">We\u2019ve done two day trips to different parts of the island so far and have some plans for a few more. The first trip was to the east side of the island to<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Akaka_Falls_State_Park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Akaka Falls State Park<\/a> and the town of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hilo,_Hawaii\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hilo<\/a>. I\u2019m most looking forward to a drive to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hawai%CA%BBi_Volcanoes_National_Park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Volcanoes National Park<\/a> and that will be about a 2 hour drive each way from our condo and we want to be there after sunset to get the best shots of the lava.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/my.excellentadventure.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/750_0372.jpg\" alt=\"750_0372.jpg\" \/><br style=\"font-size: 14px;\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">All four of us are having a lot of fun together.
