Our Excellent Australian Adventure – Part 1

Most of the time when Barb and I travel on our Excellent Adventures the planning starts up to a year in advance, sometimes even longer. It’s not unusual for us to book flights 10 months before the departure date. I was thinking about this that has our Excellent Australian Adventure planning standing out so much of a contrast as we only started booking this trip about three months ago.

One of the other standout differences in this trip is who is coming with us. Peter and Liz (made famous in our Excellent Italian Adventure and also our Excellent Eastern Canada Adventure) will be our travel partners but also my dad will be with us as well. We’ve only ever travelled once with this many people and that was just to a short trip to Las Vegas.

We have a pretty diverse agenda ahead of us in Australia with visits to big cities, camping in the wilderness and spending some time on an island resort. One of the most unique things about this trip is that we’re going to be visiting family – many whom we have never met before. All of these aspects will be sure to make Our Excellent Australian Adventure one of the most memorable in some time.
