Excellent Mystery Adventure Planning – Part 2

Having gone through the last few weeks trip planning our upcoming Mystery Adventure, I now feel that I have a greater appreciation for the work that Barb has gone through for many of our previous trips. As of about a week ago, I concluded the last of my bookings for our upcoming trip and what seemed like a simple concept when I first started the whole thing. In hind sight, I was completely unprepared for the amount of work that was involved in such a simple 8 day trip. Days and days were spent on the Internet searching for just the right places in the right location and had the right amenities. What made things all the more frustrating were the vast majority of hotels that either a) never replied to my email inquiries or b) took over a week to reply only to tell me that they didn’t have any vacancies. Frustrating to say the least.

In the end, everything worked out and I made all of the bookings that I wanted to. Everything is set and if I’m still able to run interference for Barb looking at our online VISA statements for the next 12 days (which will any day show bookings with hotel names and locations), I’ll be able to pull off the 2006 Mystery Adventure.
